What is Kirtan?

Kirtan is an ancient form of devotional chanting.  It is generally call-and-response style, meaning the kirtan wallah (leader) sends out a 'call', and everyone else echos back, and together the whole group is lifted up in vibration to experience a new level of ecstacy, contentment, peace and connectedness.

There is no particular belief system that is required to experience the bliss of chanting.  Every people in every culture have chants.  Why?  Because it works.
